Golden Coin Turtle

The golden coin turtle is not just one of the 25 most endangered turtles on the planet, we’d venture to say it’s also one of the 25 most charming. And this little hatchling is part of a new effort by the Wildlife Conservation Society to breed endangered turtle species at the Bronx Zoo and other wildlife parks in New York City. Eventually, some species will be reintroduced to the wild. Visit the golden coin turtle at the World of Reptiles nursery.
