Bronx Science Consortium Student Research Symposium

The Bronx Zoo’s Dancing Crane Pavilion will be a space of discovery on Wednesday, September 10th when members of the Bronx Science Consortium showcase their latest research projects at the second annual Student Research Symposium. The symposium is open to all zoo guests and will feature over 50 poster presentations about research being conducted by high school, undergraduate, and graduate-level researchers from all of the consortium’s partner institutions. These include Wildlife Conservation Society/ Bronx Zoo, Fordham University, New York Botanical Garden, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Montefiore Hospital. Students will present projects in fields as varied as biology, biomedical science, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, psychology, and urban ecology.
The symposium is funded in part by the National Center for Civic Engagement, the National Science Foundation, and the Noyce Foundation.
