Vice President and Director: Bronx Zoo

Mr. Breheny manages the day-to-day operation of one of the world’s largest urban zoos. He is an accomplished zoologist with a deep understanding of animals and extensive experience in their care. Jim has participated in the planning and building of many of the Bronx Zoo’s breakthrough exhibits. He is currently involved with the construction of the new Madagascar! exhibit.

Senior Vice President: Public Affairs

Mr. Calvelli oversees government and community affairs, communications, and marketing. John serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Conservation Partnership (ICP). The ICP helps conservation organizations to coordinate policy initiatives with a focus on educating the U.S. Congress and appropriate governmental agencies on global conservation needs.

Director: Latin America Program

In 1903 naturalist William Beebe embarked on his first international expedition to study birds in Mexico. Thus began WCS’s century of protecting wildlife and wild lands in Latin America and the Caribbean. Dr. Chicchón oversees more than 45 programs in 14 nations.

Sue Chin

Director: Planning and Design

Ms. Chin is an architect and oversees the process of exhibit design for WCS. Among her many recent projects at the Bronx Zoo are the new Madagascar! exhibit, opening in summer 2008, and the José E. Serrano Center for Global Conservation.
