Member Reservations

Do Members need a reservation or timed ticket to visit?

WCS parks provide families with a safe recreational space to enjoy! In order to manage the visit demand at our parks, all guests, including WCS Members, must have a timed ticket for entry. Reservations for your free member tickets must be made online in advance. Park tickets and member tickets are single-entry only, no re-entry is permitted. Please note that policies are subject to change. Always check the Know Before You Go page on our website for the most up to date information. You can use our Member portal to make your reservation.


HELP, I AM HAVING ISSUES MAKING A RESERVATION ONLINE?

We now require all guests, including members, to make a reservation online. Members may be experiencing the following errors when trying to make a reservation:

  • Unable to locate account - Please be sure to enter your Member ID listed on your card. Your member number is not the number listed by your barcode.
  • Exceeded limit - Please note, members can only reserve tickets for the individuals covered under their membership. Members can only make two (2) reservations per day however they cannot be for the same park.

I SEE MEMBER TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE DATE I SELECTED, WHY CAN’T I PROCEED WITH CHECKOUT?

The date you selected may be available however not for the quantity of member tickets you are requesting.

HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I RESERVE UNDER MY MEMBERSHIP?

Member reservations can only be made for the individuals covered on your membership. Memberships are non-transferrable, only the named adults, children, and guests on your membership will gain entry through a reservation. As a reminder, "Guest" & children must be accompanied by a named adult and reservations (tickets) are required for children 3 & up.


Can I get my Member tickets when I arrive at the zoo?

No. All Member ticket reservations must be made online in advance. Please do not come to the park if you do not have a timed ticket for entry. If you are having difficulties completing your online reservation, please call us at 718-220-5112 from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. Please note, we are unable to make, change or add to an existing reservation via email.


I cannot go on the date I selected, can I reschedule for another day?

In order to manage the visit demand at our parks, we hope members will keep the commitment for the reservation. But if you do have a situation where you will not be using your tickets, please immediately contact Member Services at membership@wcs.org with the subject "Member ticket order cancellation" and include the order number in your email. We appreciate your attention and kindness to cancel your reservation so that others may visit on that day.


Why are there no member tickets?

In order to manage the visit demand at our parks, reservations are required for all visitors including members. Please be aware that there will be days when the availability between member reservations and full-priced admission tickets will differ. WCS relies heavily on both Membership dues and ticket sales in order to continue to deliver exceptional animal care, free members events, continuous education and conservation activities around the world.

I JUST PURCHASED A WCS MEMBERSHIP, BUT I AM NOT SEEING ANY MEMBER RESERVATIONS AVAILABLE FOR THE DATE AND TIME I WANT TO COME?

In order to manage the visit demand at our parks, reservations are required for all visitors including members. Reservation availability is not guaranteed. We suggest checking back regularly as we release any unclaimed reservations for that day back into the ticket pool. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If you just joined online as a new member, please refer to your “Member Admission Voucher” that was attached to your email confirmation. If you are having difficulties finding a date, please feel free to call us at 718-220-5112 from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. Please note, we are unable to make, change or add to an existing reservation via email.


I DO NOT SEE ANY MEMBER RESERVATIONS FOR THE DAY I WANT TO VISIT. CAN I JUST PURCHASE TICKETS AND RECEIVE A REFUND SINCE MY MEMBERSHIP ENTITLES ME TO FREE ADMISSION?

Unfortunately, all ticket sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges. If you are having difficulties making a reservation, please call us at 718-220-5112 from 9 AM to 5 PM daily for further assistance.


DO I NEED TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND?

Yes. You can cancel your reservation by calling 718-220-5112 from 9 AM TO 5 PM daily OR you can email us at membership@wcs.org with the subject "Member Ticket Cancellation" along with your order number. If you do not cancel within 24 hours prior to your visit, your future reservations may be subject to restrictions. Reservations help us manage the visit demand at our parks, we appreciate your attention and understanding to cancel your reservation so that others may have the opportunity to visit.


WHY CAN'T I MAKE A RESERVATION TO THE AQUARIUM?

Please make sure your membership includes access to the NY Aquarium. You can upgrade your membership by calling us at 718-220-5112 to include the NY Aquarium for an additional fee. Please note, upgrading your membership does not extend your expiration date. You can also renew early as a “Land & Sea” member, which will start right away and include the NY Aquarium and our 4 zoos.


WHAT DO I NEED TO PRESENT ON THE DAY OF MY VISIT?

A valid membership card and photo ID, along with your reserved ticket(s) must be presented at the time of entry. A digital version of your WCS Membership card is available by logging into our Member Portal. You can also save your digital membership card to your apple or google wallet. If your WCS Membership includes parking benefits, you must have a valid membership card at the time you enter our parking lot, to utilize your parking benefits. Parking fees are non-refundable. Don’t forget to visit our know before you go page for more information prior to your visit.


CAN I ACCESS MY RESERVED MEMBER TICKETS THROUGH THE MEMBER PORTAL?

Yes. Members can access their member ticket(s), that were reserved through the member portal. You can also download your ticket(s) to your Apple or Google wallet. Please note, reservations that were placed over the phone with Member Services cannot be viewed on the member portal.

Member Park Entry Information

WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR VISITING A WCS PARK?

WCS members will need to make a member reservation prior to visiting our parks. Be ready to enter before approaching the ticket-taker station:

  • Have your member ticket out, and Membership card and photo ID.
  • Your Membership card number must match the Member number on your ticket.
  • YOUR TICKET IS ONLY VALID FOR THE DATE, TIME AND QUANTITY OF PEOPLE COVERED ON YOUR MEMBERSHIP LEVEL.
  • Only a named adult on your Membership card can use your ticket. Children and/or guest(s) must be accompanied by a named adult on the card.
  • All people must enter together and your member ticket cannot be separated for entry.
  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

We appreciate your attention to these procedures and policies that will help everyone have a safe, healthy and fun visit to our park.


What are the hours of operation for each wcs park?

All WCS parks open at 10 a.m. Closing times vary by park and season – please check each park's website for current information.

  • NY Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and Queens Zoo are open 365 days a year.
  • Bronx Zoo is closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PRESENT ON THE DAY OF MY VISIT?

Please be sure to have your temporary/membership card along with your photo ID and your Member ticket(s) handy (printed or via mobile device) at the time of entry. Don’t forget to visit our know before you go page for more information prior to your visit.


Why must I show a photo ID at the gate?

As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on Membership dues and attendance fees for support. To prevent the misuse of your Membership, we ask that you show a photo ID. We appreciate your understanding and support.


I HAVEN’T RECEIVED MY MEMBERSHIP CARD, CAN I STILL VISIT?

Members always have access to their member benefits by logging into our Member Portal, using their membership number and zip code. A digital version of your WCS Membership card is available and can be saved to your apple or google wallet. If you need help locating your membership number or need additional assistance, feel free to contact our Member Services team at 718-220-5112 from 9 am to 5 pm daily or email us at membership@wcs.org.


I forgot to bring my membership card, can I still visit the park?

A valid membership card and photo ID, along with your reserved ticket(s) must be presented at the time of entry. A digital version of your WCS Membership card is available by logging into our Member Portal. You can also save your digital membership card to your apple or google wallet. We can provide a one-time courtesy look up at the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, and the NY Aquarium. Please note, look-ups cannot be done at our parking locations. If your WCS Membership includes parking benefits, you must have a valid membership card at the time you enter our parking lot, to utilize your parking benefits. Parking fees are non-refundable.


Can my children enter the parks using my Membership card without me?

No. Only a named adult on the Membership card can use the membership. Your children and “guest(s)” MUST be accompanied by an adult named on the membership card. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.


Can my child caregiver bring my children to the parks?

You must add the Child Caregiver’s name to your membership account. Only a named member on the Membership card can use member tickets. We are unable to make name changes to Membership accounts at our on-site locations, so please be sure to make arrangements 24 hours prior to scheduling your member ticket reservation. If you need additional assistance regarding other Child Caregiver options, feel free to contact us at 718-220-5112 from 9 AM to 5 PM daily.


Can I bring additional guests not covered on my membership to member only events?

Unfortunately no. Member only events are for the amount of people covered on your membership.


Can I apply my member benefits to a group field trip?

No. Member benefits apply to households & eligible guests only. Groups of 10 or more booked as a school or camp field trip are eligible for discounted admission and require an advance reservation through the Group Sales Department. As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on admission & membership fees for mission critical support. To prevent the misuse of a Membership, we kindly ask that WCS Members please adhere to this policy.


Can zoo only members attend member events at the NY Aquarium?

WCS Members can only attend member events for parks that are covered on their membership. You can upgrade your membership to include the NY Aquarium by calling 718-220-5112 from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. You can also renew early as a “Land & Sea” member, which will start right away and include the NY Aquarium and our 4 zoos.


Are scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles or wagons allowed in the Aquarium?

No. These items pose a significant safety problem and we need all guests to comply with our rules that prohibit scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles and wagons from the park. We truly appreciate your understanding.


Are there any restrictions or blackout dates for WCS Members?

There are occasionally Blackout dates when no tickets or ticket reservations will be available. View upcoming Blackout Dates.

Additionally, operating hours may change due to event programming such as Holiday Lights or fundraising events like the WCS Gala. Please note that on Holiday Lights evenings, the last daytime entry into the Bronx Zoo is 1:00PM.

New York Aquarium

COVID-19 and Your WCS Membership

WERE THERE ANY CHANGES MADE TO MY WCS MEMBER BENEFITS DUE TO COVID-19?

There were no changes made to your member benefits due to COVID however there were changes to our entry policies and procedures. Please visit our know before you go pages for each park prior to visiting for the most current up to date information:

Please note – there will be no map handouts at the park. Each park website has a copy of their map, and you can feel free to print in advance; or use the online map from your smartphone or mobile device during your visit.

For the Bronx Zoo – be sure to use the mobile site on the day of your visit for the park map, and available exhibits and amenities. You can also see the park map and print out a copy.


WHAT DO I NEED TO PRESENT ON THE DAY OF MY VISIT?

Was my membership extended due to the COVID-19 closures?

Active members during our closures were given extensions for the time lost on their membership. For example, if your membership expired on November 30, 2020 your new expiration date will be March 30, 2021. Our WCS Zoos were closed for 4 months in 2020. No further action is needed and you can continue to use your current card as it will remain active up to your new expiration date. No additional extensions will be given at this time.


I HAVE NOT USED MY MEMBERSHIP YET, CAN I GET AN EXTENSION FOR TIME IT WASN’T USED?

Unfortunately we do not provide credit or partial/full refunds for memberships that were not used. WCS Memberships start on the day of purchase and are valid for one (1) year from that date (purchase date).

How to Become a WCS Member

How can I become a Member of the Wildlife Conservation Society?

Join online. Join online at any Membership level and receive a temporary Membership card that you can start using right away!

Join by phone. Call our Member Services team at (718) 220-5112 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. You will receive your temporary membership card within 24 hours.

Join on-site today. Join at a Membership booth at the Bronx Zoo, New York Aquarium, or the Central Park Zoo and start your wildlife adventure immediately on the day of your purchase. Cash and major credit cards are accepted. Please note that the parking fee for your initial visit is not refundable – to save time and avoid the parking fee on your first visit join online and add-on Bronx Zoo parking to your membership.

Once you become a member, you have instant access to your benefits by using our Member Portal. Login into our Member Portal to make a reservation, view benefits, download a digital version of your WCS membership card to your apple or google wallet and so much more! A valid Membership card and photo ID, along with your reserves ticket(s) must be presented at the time of entry. You must present your Membership card at the parking gate, or you will be charged the parking fee, even if it's included in your Membership. We're sorry, but we cannot make exceptions. All sales are final, there are no refunds or exchanges. Not for resale.

If I decide to join during my visit can I apply the cost of my admission tickets towards a Membership?

Yes, you have 30 days from the date of your ticket purchase to apply your tickets towards a membership. Please bring your ticket receipt to a Membership booth or Admissions booth at the Bronx Zoo, NY Aquarium or the Central Park Zoo before 4 p.m. and we'll be happy to credit the price of admission tickets applicable to the Membership level you choose. Parking fees are not refundable and cannot be applied to the purchase of a Membership. Please note, we can only deduct tickets for one (1) visit. You can also apply your tickets towards a membership by emailing a copy of your tickets or order # along with your contact information to membership@wcs.org. Tickets cannot be applied towards prior membership purchases.

Please note, gift memberships are not assigned to any specific person. No information about the recipient is captured during checkout. The purchaser will receive an email with the gift membership voucher attached to print or forward to the recipient. Gift membership vouchers can only be redeemed by calling our Member Services team at 718-220-5112 from 9am to 5pm ET daily. Please note, gift membership vouchers cannot be redeemed onsite. The membership will start the day the gift membership voucher is redeemed.

Can I purchase a membership gift certificate for a fundraiser?

Yes. Membership gift certificates can be purchased for fundraisers only by calling 718-220-5112 from 9 AM TO 5 PM daily.


When does my membership start?

Your WCS Membership starts immediately from the date of purchase and is valid for one (1) year. This also includes gift membership purchases.

Depending on your membership level, you can remove a named adult and replace it with “guest” so you may bring a different person with you on each visit. A guest must always be accompanied by a named adult on the card. Please note, if you list "guest" on your membership, the guest can be an adult or a child. Name adults must be 18 & over. Name changes go into effect in 24 hours and can only be done by calling Member Services at 718-220-5112 from 9 am to 5 pm. You can make changes to the names on your account 3 times throughout the year. Please note, primary members (adult #1) cannot be changed.


When does my membership start?

Your WCS Membership starts immediately from the date of purchase and is valid for one (1) year. This also includes gift membership purchases.


Can Memberships be shared?

Memberships may not be shared by more than one household. All adults named on the card and their children up to age 18 must reside in the same household. Memberships are not transferable and are only valid for the individuals named on the card. Any additional visitor not covered by your Membership will be charged the current admission fee.


When will I receive my Membership card?

Members who join or renew online, by mail or over the phone will receive 2 cards within 4-6 weeks from the purchase date, except for Individual members who will receive 1. A digital version of your WCS Membership card is available by logging into our Member Portal. You can also save your digital card to your apple or google wallet. Members who join or renew onsite will receive their card(s) immediately at the time of purchase. We are unable to issue additional cards.

FOR PARKING BENEFITS: Please present a valid membership card (digital, permanent, or temporary) and your photo ID at the parking booth. Members who are unable to provide proof of a valid membership will be required to pay for parking at the Bronx Zoo and NY Aquarium. Parking fees are non-refundable. Please note, free parking is based on your membership level.

FOR ENTRY AND ATTRACTION BENEFITS: Please present a valid membership card (digital, permanent, or temporary) and your photo ID at each attraction location. Click here to visit our benefits page to see if your membership includes attractions.

How many cards will I receive in the mail?

Members who join or renew online, by mail or over the phone will receive 2 cards within 4-6 weeks from the purchase date, except for Individual members who will receive 1. A digital version of your WCS Membership card is available by logging into our Member Portal. You can also save your digital card to your apple or google wallet. We are unable to issue additional cards.


Is Holiday Lights included in my membership?

Holiday Lights is included in Conservation Supporter, Fellow and Partner membership levels throughout the entire event. All other membership levels will receive a 40% discount on tickets for the individuals covered on their membership. Each additional guest not covered on your membership must have a regular Holiday Lights ticket. Limited Zoos, Zoos PLUS and Land & Sea members can join us on member nights (select days). Free tickets on select Holiday Lights member nights are on a first come, first serve basis and must be reserved in advance (limited availability).

Please make sure you have your membership card and photo ID upon entry. Please note, access to our park during Holiday Lights operating days is limited and requires a Holiday Lights ticket.


Can Members purchase additional Member wildlife T-shirts?

Yes. Members can purchase extra T-shirts at a Membership booth or an admission booth at the Bronx Zoo, or at the admission booths at the Central Park Zoo. Additional T-shirts cost $10 and are only sold to current Members. Available sizes are Adult XL, Adult M, and Youth M.


HOW DO I GET MY FREE T-SHIRT WHEN I SIGN-UP?

Members who sign-up or renew onsite will receive 1 free t-shirt at the time of purchase. Members who join or renew online, by mail or over the phone will receive a t-shirt coupon in the mail along with their permanent card(s). The t-shirt coupon is adjacent to the section where your address is listed in the mailer.


How can I redeem a Member T-shirt coupon?

Member T-shirt coupons are redeemable at the Membership booth or admission booth at the Southern Boulevard and Bronx River entrances to the Bronx Zoo, and the admission booth at the Central Park Zoo.

Attractions and Parking at WCS Parks

What are the rides & star attractions at the parks?

Access to park attractions are based on your membership level. You can upgrade your membership on-site on the day of your visit too! Some rides are seasonal or temporary and open weather permitting. Availability is also subject to capacity, mechanical and/or animal related issues.

BRONX ZOO STAR ATTRACTIONS included in Zoos PLUS, Land & Sea and Conservation level memberships are: Bug Carousel, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Zoo, Congo Gorilla Forest, JungleWorld, Nature Trek, Wild Asia Monorail and the Zoo Shuttle.

CENTRAL PARK ZOO 4-D Theater is included in Conservation Supporter, Fellow and Partner membership levels. There is a discounted rate for all other levels ($4 members/$7 non-members).

NY Aquarium 4-D theater is included in Land & Sea, Conservation Supporter, Fellow, Partner and Aquarium only membership levels. There is a discounted rate for all other membership levels ($3 members/$6 non-members)

Attraction entry is on a first come, first served basis for all guests, including members. Please keep your group together when presenting your membership card & tickets.


What are the rules for parking at the Bronx Zoo?

Bronx Zoo free all day parking is not included in all membership levels. Please check your specific membership type for benefit information. Bronx Zoo parking can be added to Limited Zoos, Zoos PLUS and Land & Sea levels. Bronx Zoo parking is included in Conservation Supporter, Fellow and Partner membership levels as well as Dual & Family Land & Sea Legacy levels. Parking is subject to availability and limited to one car per membership per day. Parking is on a first come, first served basis and is not guaranteed.

Weekend Preferred Parking at the Bronx Zoo’s Fountain Circle lot is free for Conservation Fellow & Partner membership levels. Reservations are not accepted at this time.

Parking on WCS premises is done at your own risk. WCS is not responsible for stolen or damaged property.


What are the rules for parking at the New York Aquarium?

NY Aquarium parking is only included in Conservation Supporter, Fellow and Partner membership levels as well as Dual & Family Land & Sea Legacy levels. Parking is subject to availability and limited to one car per membership per day. Parking is on a first come, first served basis and is not guaranteed. Please see Aquarium pricing details below -

WHAT DO I HAVE TO SHOW AT THE PARKING GATE TO USE MY FREE PARKING BENEFIT?

To receive your free parking benefit, you must present a valid membership card (digital, permanent, or temporary) and your photo ID at the parking booth. Member look-ups cannot be done at our parking locations. Members who are unable to provide proof of a valid membership will be required to pay for parking at the Bronx Zoo and NY Aquarium. Parking fees are non-refundable. Please note, free parking is based on your membership level.


How do I use my membership at the pay on exit station?

Be sure to have a valid temporary/membership card in order to use your parking benefit at our pay on exit stations.

  • Take your parking ticket and enjoy your visit. The system will dispense a ticket after scanning your membership card. Put your parking ticket somewhere you won’t forget it - you’ll need it to exit the parking lot.

TO EXIT:

  • Option A: Stop by a Parking Pay Station before getting back in your car. If you have a balance, pay with cash or credit, then present the validated ticket at the exiting arm.
  • Option B: Present your ticket at the exiting arm. If you have a balance, pay with credit only.

If you have any issues OR unsure if your membership card was scanned correctly upon entry, please take a ticket and then stop at a Membership booth for assistance prior to entering the park.


Can I get a refund for parking?

Unfortunately all sales are final and parking fees cannot be refunded or applied to a future purchase.


Budgie Landing – What is this new experience?

Budgie Landing is a new seasonal experience (additional ticket required) where guests can enjoy an up-close interaction with boisterous and colorful birds. Hang on to your seed stick, our budgies will fly around freely and may choose to come to you for a little snack.


Is Budgie Landing included with my WCS membership?

Budgie Landing requires a separate ticket and is not inlcuded in any level of membership. Members do receive an exclusive discount on tickets ($3 per person) for the amount of adults and children covered under their membership. Tickets for Budgie Landing can only be purchased onsite on the day of your visit. Please note, one seed stick is included with each Budgie Landing ticket. As is the case with all our animals, the behavior of the budgies is not guaranteed. Guests are advised that the birds may choose not to feed during the time of your visit.

Member Discounts

HOW CAN I PURCHASE DAY-TIME ADMISSION TICKETS FOR FRIENDS & FAMILY VISITING WITH ME USING MY 20% DISCOUNT?

20% discount on day-time admission tickets for additional guest not covered under your membership and visiting with you, must be purchased in advance through the Member Portal or by calling Member Services at 718-220-5112 from 9 am to 5 pm daily. Discounted tickets are based on availability and are timed and date specific. Please note, a named member must be present with the ticket holder using the discounted ticket(s), at the time of entry.


Does WCS give senior discounts?

Senior Memberships (65+) are available at a 20% discount. This offer cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions. All named Members on a senior Membership must be 65 or older. Photo ID required upon entrance.


CAN I USE MY SENIOR DISCOUNT AND AN OFFER I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL?

No. Discounts codes cannot be combined with any other offer. Only one (1) discount per transaction.


DOES WCS GIVE STUDENT DISCOUNTS ON MEMBERSHIPS?

WCS does not offer student discounts on WCS Memberships, however we do offer a complementary Limited Admission to NYC undergraduate college students. Advance ticket reservation required. Please use promo code NYCCOLLEGE during checkout. Eligible students must either be: a) attending a NYC college (must show a valid college ID from an institution within the 5 boroughs of New York City; b) NYC resident, attending non-NYC college (must show valid college ID and proof of NYC residency).

WHAT DO I NEED TO SHOW IN ORDER TO GET DISCOUNTS ON FOOD & GIFT SHOP PURCHASES?

You must present a valid membership card to the associate prior to checkout. We are unable to apply your member discount (10%) after a purchase. No refund or credit can be given.


DO WCS MEMBERS GET A DISCOUNT ON HOLIDAY LIGHTS TICKETS?

Holiday Lights is included in Conservation Supporter, Fellow and Partner membership levels throughout the entire event. All other membership levels will receive a 40% discount on tickets for the individuals covered on their membership. Discounted rate cannot be applied to any additional individuals not covered on the membership.

How can I learn about member events?

Member events and updates about our parks are sent monthly via email. You can also visit our website by clicking here for the most up to date information on upcoming member only events at our parks.


Can I bring additional guests not covered on my membership to member only events?

Unfortunately no. Member only events are for the amount of people covered on your WCS membership.


Can zoo only members attend member events at the NY Aquarium?

WCS Members can only attend member events for parks that are covered on their membership. You can upgrade your membership to include the NY Aquarium by calling 718-220-5112 from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. You can also renew early as a “Land & Sea” member, which will start right away and include the NY Aquarium and our 4 zoos.

Updating Your Membership Account

Can I make changes to the names on my membership account?

A name change can only be done by calling Member Services at 718-220-5112 (open daily, 9 AM to 5 PM EST), and can ONLY BE MADE BY THE PRIMARY CARD HOLDER. A minimum of 24 hours is required before any revision will be valid for zoo visit. Members are limited to no more than 3 revisions in a year. Please note, the name of the primary member (adult 1) cannot be changed.


How do I change my address?

If you have changed your address or do not wish to be on our mailing list, please call us at (718) 220-5112 from 9 AM. to 5 PM daily.


CAN I REMOVE A NAME AND ADD GUEST(S) TO MY MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNT?

Depending on your membership level, you can remove a named adult and replace it with “guest” so you may bring a different person with you on each visit. A guest must always be accompanied by a named adult on the card. Please note, if you list "guest" on your membership, the guest can be an adult or a child. Name adults must be 18 & over. Name changes go into effect in 24 hours and can only be done by calling Member Services at 718-220-5112 from 9 am to 5 pm. You can make changes to the names on your account 3 times throughout the year. Please note, primary members (adult #1) cannot be changed.


Can I upgrade my membership to include parking and additional benefits?

Yes. At this time you can only upgrade your existing membership by calling our office at 718-220-5112 from 9 AM to 5PM daily. Please note, new benefits start immediately however it does not extend the expiration date of your membership.


WILL I LOSE TIME IF I RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP EARLY, BEFORE IT EXPIRES?

No. Members can renew early without losing any time. Be sure to login into the Member Portal using your membership number and zip code to renew your WCS Membership.


I AM HAVING ISSUES RENEWING MY MEMBERSHIP AT A LOWER LEVEL, DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A NEW MEMBERSHIP?

No. Renewing at a lower level will start immediately and you may lose benefits that you currently use. To renew at a lower level, please call our Member Services team at 718-220-5112 from 9 am to 5 pm daily.


How can I replace a lost/stolen Membership card?

There is a $5.00 fee to replace a lost, stolen, or damaged membership card. A digital version of your WCS Membership card is available by logging into our Member Portal. You can also save your digital card to your apple or google wallet. To order your replacement card, please call 718-220-5112 from 9 am to 5 pm daily.

As a Legacy Member, you will continue to enjoy a 30% discount off our regular Membership prices as long as you do not allow your Membership to lapse. In addition to your current benefits, you will still receive exclusive invitations to Members' Evening plus discounts on food, retail, education programs and so much more. Please note membership benefits are subject to change at any time. Legacy Family is no longer offered and cannot be renewed.


HELP, I AM UNABLE TO RENEW MY CURRENT LEVEL?

Be sure to check that your membership level is still offered. Membership levels that are no longer offered cannot be renewed. If you have a Legacy membership that has already expired, you are unable to renew at the discounted rate. What is the return check policy?

A charge of $25 will apply to any check that is returned by the bank or depository institution on which the check is drawn.


Does WCS exchange mailing lists with other organizations?

WCS makes our mailing list available to organizations we believe might be of interest to our Members. If you do not wish your name to be shared with other mailers, please e-mail your request to membership@wcs.org or call Membership Services at (718) 220-5112 from Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and we will remove your name and address.


Does WCS have a reciprocal Membership agreement with any other zoos or aquariums?

WCS does not have reciprocal agreements with other zoos or aquariums.
